Inside\, participating artists will be offering flash tattoos\, adding to the immersive experience. \nGuests can enjoy a variety of food and drink options\, including BBQ Flavor Savor and Buzz Stop Coffee 757\, along with two unique mobile book experiences: Flourish Booktruck and Dead Petals Press. \nThe event will feature 30+ curated vendors\, showcasing everything from stained glass and oils to candles\, magical experiences\, oddities\, and community and charity outreach. Music will be part of the evening atmosphere as well. \n🧹 Special PerformanceThe OV Sea Hags will perform their signature Broom Dance between 8:00 to 8:30 pm\, followed by one or two additional rounds with audience participation highly encouraged. This rehearsal is dedicated to collecting donations for Samaritan House\, a local shelter serving women and families in crisis. \nHosted at Mudita Cafe & Bar\, a women-owned neighborhood bistro\, this event is a true collaboration — women leading\, women creating\, and women supporting other women in recognition of International Women’s Day. \nWe’ll be in our full dress rehearsal costumes for the Ocean View St. Patrick’s Day Parade\, performing our choreography to “W.I.T.C.H.” — an anthem of feminine strength\, resilience\, and joy — and the iconic German Broom Dance that has inspired women’s dance troupes around the world. 💃 \nThis isn’t a polished stage show. It’s real rehearsal energy — laughter\, fierce moments\, and community in motion. \n🎁 In place of admission\, please bring a donation for Samaritan House. Early March is the perfect time for a pre-spring reset. As you clean out cupboards and closets\, consider setting aside items that could directly support women rebuilding their lives. \nWe are collecting:\n• Non-perishable food\n• Gently used clothing in good condition\n• New bedding\, blankets\, or towels\n• New toiletries and personal care items \nHave an extra set of sheets you never opened? Toiletry gift sets you won’t use? Winter coats your family has outgrown? Canned goods you won’t eat? Bring them with you. \nA clearly marked donation station will be set up on the front outdoor patio. All items will be delivered directly to Samaritan House. \nLet’s mark International Women’s Day not just with words\, but with action. We hope you’ll join us. DESCRIPTION:Presented by OV Sea Hags & VAFW. \nCelebrate Earth Day with a joyful\, creative twist. The Earth Day Fashion Trashion Witch Walk is a community runway-style event where sustainability meets style\, imagination\, and movement. \nLocal designers transform rescued fabric scraps into wearable art\, brought to life by our dancing witches as models. These are not costumes and not fast fashion. They are one-of-a-kind creations made from materials that would otherwise be discarded\, reimagined as powerful\, expressive design. \nThis event is playful\, collaborative\, and welcoming. It’s about creativity over consumption\, joy over judgment\, and community over competition. Expect music\, movement\, laughter\, and a runway experience that feels more like a celebration than a fashion show. \n5 PM – 6 PM: Meet & Greet. Grab a drink and some food. Maybe mingle with a witch or two before the show starts.\n6 PM – 7 PM: The “witch-walk” begins as our witchy models strut the runway in their designer threads made from scraps. There will be a panel of judges PLUS live audience voting! The top 3 designs (and the audience winner) will receive in no particular order: cash prizes\, gift cards\, tickets to VAFW\, as well as ALL designs will walk the runway in October at VA Fashion Week. The Grand Prize winner will have the opportunity to create a CAPSULE COLLECTION at VA Fashion Week!\nWhile votes are being tallied\, the OV Sea Hags will perform the German “Broom Dance” with a second round inviting the audience to dance with them. \nWitches are the natural caretakers of the earth. Join Coastal Virginia Paddlers for a hauntingly fun FREE event on Sunday October 25\, 2026 for the 3rd Annual Witches & Warlocks on the Water! You must provide your own gear and have a life preserver on your board to participate! \nA few OV SEA HAGS will be performing between 9 AM to 10 AM. This is an amazing event for an amazing charity! \n\nTO REGISTER : https://coastalvirginiapaddlers.com/event\n9:00 am: Arrive at Owl’s Creek Boat Launch. Sign in at the COVA Paddlers table.• Sign up for costume contest if you want.• Enjoy complimentary donuts and coffee while supplies last!• Our charity is Edmarc Children’s Hospice. Don’t forget to make a donation to Edmarc\, if so inclined. It is not required but would be appreciated. See our event page for ways to donate.\n9:30 am: Have your gear ready.\n9:50 am: Our volunteer judge will ask all participating in the costume contest to line up for a photo and group photo of all participating.\n10:00 am: Launch.• Have fun\, socialize and take lots of photos! We’ll enjoy a relaxing paddle towards the Virginia Aquarium. The Aquarium staff may take our photos as we paddle by. Then we will turn around and paddle to the Rudee Inlet Bridge and back.
