DESCRIPTION:We’re registered for the parade and we’re so excited to be a part of this wonderful annual event!! \nAre you ready for a Ghouling Good Time in Ghent? \n\nSave-the-date for Ghent’s largest Halloween street party and costume contest – Masquerade in Ghent! Masquerade in Ghent will take place Friday\, October 23\, from 6:00-10:00pm in the heart of Ghent on Colley Avenue between Shirley Avenue and Brandon Avenue.\n\nThe parade starts at 6:30pm and judges will award cash prizes for “Best In Show\,” “Best Family or Group\,” and “Best Adult.” Prize packets will be awarded to “Best Pet Costume\,” “Best Child” (male & female ages 5-12)\, and “Best Infant (4 and under).”\n\nAfter the parade\, get ready for a monster mash with live music by Wonderland. Plus\, there will be activities for kids\, refreshments and adult beverages including beer\, cider\, seltzers\, and signature cocktails from Reverend Spirits.\n\nMasquerade in Ghent is free and open to the public. Ample parking can be found along the streets and parking lots. Don’t miss the frightfully\, fun-tastic time at this year’s Masquerade in Ghent!\n\nMasquerade in Ghent is proudly presented by the Ghent Business Association.

DESCRIPTION:CALLING ALL WITCHES\, WARLOCKS AND PADDLING ENTHUSIASTS! Join Coastal Virginia Paddlers for a hauntingly fun FREE event on Sunday October 25\, 2026 for the 3rd Annual Witches & Warlocks on the Water! You must provide your own gear and have a life preserver on your board to participate! \nA few OV SEA HAGS will be performing between 9 AM to 10 AM. This is an amazing event for an amazing charity! \n\nTO REGISTER : https://coastalvirginiapaddlers.com/event\n9:00 am: Arrive at Owl’s Creek Boat Launch. Sign in at the COVA Paddlers table.• Sign up for costume contest if you want.• Enjoy complimentary donuts and coffee while supplies last!• Our charity is Edmarc Children’s Hospice. Don’t forget to make a donation to Edmarc\, if so inclined. It is not required but would be appreciated. See our event page for ways to donate.\n9:30 am: Have your gear ready.\n9:50 am: Our volunteer judge will ask all participating in the costume contest to line up for a photo and group photo of all participating.\n10:00 am: Launch.• Have fun\, socialize and take lots of photos! We’ll enjoy a relaxing paddle towards the Virginia Aquarium. The Aquarium staff may take our photos as we paddle by. Then we will turn around and paddle to the Rudee Inlet Bridge and back. If you are uncomfortable paddling that far\, no worries\, you can leave whenever you like.\n11:30 am: Everyone paddles back to kayak launch area.\n12 Noon: Costume contest winner will be announced. Event concludes.\nNoon – 3 pm: AFTER PARTY at Ocean Eddie’s Seafood Restaurant Keep those wicked-good costumes ON and join us for the best ocean views\, cold drinks\, and amazing seafood right on the Virginia Beach Fishing Pier.OEs’: 1415 Atlantic Ave\, Virginia Beach VA (On the boardwalk at the Pier) (20% of all proceeds btwn 12-3 will be dontated to Edmarc.)
